The first Satellite Masters Conference is much more than just a networking event: It is a unique marketplace for sharing innovations for space-based technologies and infrastructures and connecting with the world's leading network for downstream satellite business.
Taking place from 23-24 October 2014 in the start-up hub of Berlin, the event will feature an outstanding blend of conference sessions, workshops, and round-table discussions centered around leveraging satellite-derived data and other space solutions for business and society.
The event will cap off the joint Awards Ceremony of Europe's major innovation competitions for space applications - the European Satellite Navigation Competition and the Copernicus Masters.
Along with ESA space solutions, the conference will focus on entrepreneurial spirit and the impact space technologies have on non-space sectors.
In 2014, the international Satellite Masters network comprises:
26 regional prize partners around the world, with more than 100 supporting organisations
17 special prize partners from industry, research institutes, and government agencies
40 incubators active in the global aerospace sector
A competition jury of more than 200 specialists from industry, research institutes, and government agencies
More than 500 participants from almost 50 countries
The conference is geared toward all those looking to benefit from the emerging satellite applications market, from start-ups, SMEs and researchers to investors, institutional stakeholders, and industry.
